Boys & Girls Club of B-N Membership Application

Summer Program (Entering 1st - 12th grade)

Members are offered the opportunity to learn, grow and make new friends. In small and large groups, the youth will engage in productive play, games, read and hear stories, participate in activities, and arts & crafts. There will be daily physical and mental challenges, along with plenty of team-building activities. Our daily schedule also offers plenty of opportunity for free play and fun. 

Clubhouse (1st - 5th grade students) - Please note that due to a high number of applicants, not all registrations will be accepted. Please watch your email for updates on your child's admission to our summer program.

  • Open to all 1st - 5th grade students ; all students entering 6th grade in fall 2024 will register at one of our junior high locations.
  • Under "Membership Period," select "Summer 2024" for the summer enrichment program.
  • Under "Club Site," select "Clubhouse" or "Elementary STEAM Camp at Bloomington Junior High" if your child has been invited to the D87 STEAM Camp. (SEE NEXT SECTION)
  • Doors will open at 8:00am  - pickup preferred after 3:30pm and required before 5:00pm.
  • Summer Programming rates:  1 child = $225 / 2 children = $400 total / 3 or more children = $600 total. Please pay here: https://bgcbn.org/membership-dues/

Elementary STEAM Camp at Bloomington Jr. High (1st - 5th grade students) - This site is only for children entering 1st - 5th grade in fall 2024 who received an invitation to, and will be attending, District 87 STEAM Camp.

  • Open only to 1st - 5th grade students attending District 87 STEAM Camp. All students entering 6th grade in fall 2024 must register for one of our Junior High programs.
  • Under "Membership Period," select Elementary STEAM Camp at Bloomington Junior High School."
  • Program start times will be communicated to you prior to the start of summer. All members must be picked up by 5:00pm.
  • Summer Program rate for District 87 STEAM Camp is $125 per child. Please pay here: https://bgcbn.org/membership-dues/.
  • We accept subsidies through the Child Care Resource and Referral Network: https://www.dhs.state.il.us/onenetlibrary/27897/documents/Forms/IL444-3455.pdf
  • For families not qualifying, we charge $16 per day for after school programs and $31 per day for summer programs. Scholarships are available to cover the difference between this rate and our standard rate.

PJHS & BJHS (6th - 8th grade Junior High students)

  • Open to all 6th - 8th grade students who are registered at their Unit 5 or District 87 zoned Junior High schools.
  • Under "Membership Period," select "Summer 2024" for the summer enrichment program.
  • Under "Club Site," select "The Club at Bloomington Junior High" or "The Club at Parkside Junior High," depending on where your child is enrolled for the approaching school year.
  • Doors will open 11:45am - pickup preferred after 3:30pm and required before 5:00pm.

Junior Leadership Academy (9th - 12th grade High School students)

  • Open to all 9th -12th grade students who apply.
  • Member registration is required.
  • Application is required by student.
  • Under "Membership Period," select "Summer 2024" for the summer enrichment program.
  • Under "Club Site," select "Teen CLUB."
  • Drop off at First Christian Church, locations will vary day to day.
  • Doors will open 11:45am - pickup preferred after 3:30pm and required by 5:00pm.

Teen Night (6th - 12th grade students)

  • Open to all members entering 6th - 12th grade in fall 2024.
  • Under "Membership Period", select "Summer 2024" for the summer enrichment program.
  • Under "Club Site," select "Teen CLUB."
  • Tuesday & Thursday 5pm - 8pm; Friday 6:30pm - 10pm at the Clubhouse 1615 Illinois St. Bloomington, IL.
  • Wednesday 7:30pm - 9:00pm Virtual Club Experience

Please Note: You must complete all tasks on this list prior to your child being accepted in the program. You will receive an email with links to complete the following:

  • Review and understand the Family Handbook and sign (electronically) a copy of the Family Release prior to your child starting at the Club.
  • Watch the Family Orientation video provided by the Unit Director via email.
  • Verify that the income information is correct and understand that you may be asked to apply for CCAP for your child(ren).
  • Pay the non-refundable membership dues (entering 1st - 5th grade only) at time of registration.
  • Sign up for Remind and understand that it will be the primary form of communication between your family and the Club.
  • Be aware of the Programs calendar and that it is your responsibility to stay informed with all activities and Club closures.
  • Understand that your child will not be enrolled in the program until all information requested is received by the Boys & Girls Club of Bloomington-Normal.

You will receive an email to verify your child has been accepted into the program once everything is completed.
